Mules Serve as Military Animals in Afghanistan

The US Marines are using them because they're good for hauling stuff. I think it's sad to force one more species to participate in another human war.

Agreed... One soldier said it's like having a 5 year old child. Makes me wonder the odd circumstance that some guys might actually bond with a mule. Not beyond possibilities...

Just don't want to hear any stories of any abuse beyond the "use" that's already happening. But that's not beyond possibilities either...
