As I type this, a black cat is sitting in my lap. Here is a story about another black cat whose story is in Shelter Stories: Love Guaranteed by Mutts creator Patrick McDonnell. This gives me a chance to link to two things I like: Mutts, and to Mike Markarian's excellent blog Animals and Politics. His black cat was rescued from a busy road and is featured in the book. Our cat was rescued from behind our apartment building.That's Cleo the Cat at left. The gray cat is her son Che.
