Capital Animal Welfare Association Helping Stray Animals in Beijing

I know I've been hard on the Chinese with regard to animal cruelty. And, at least as a matter of their official policies, they deserve it. They do a rotten job in providing basic protection for animals there.

Some brave souls in China are trying to change things. Qin Xiaona, of the Capital Animmal Welfare Association is one such person. CNN has a good article about it.

But I still ain't watching those damn games...

Absolutely. China deserves all the criticism it gets for its despicable record of animal abuses.

I'm just hoping animal rights groups have thought ahead, and are there now at this opportune time, preparing to make themselves heard when the games start.
